Parents leave their stories freely, and from the first answer, children can read and listen to everything for 90 days. After that, you can choose the Annual Pass or the Keepsake Edition. See the FAQ below for storage periods and notices before expiry.
Frequently asked questions
What if my parents aren't comfortable with smartphones?
One Kakao sign-in is all it takes to start. The screen shows one question at a time, and the buttons and text are made large.
Will the stories disappear if I don't pay?
Stories are not deleted simply because you do not pay. After 90 days of free reading, only the first three stories remain open on the child’s screen. Before final completion, each new parent answer restarts the 90 days; final completion restarts them for the last time. Parents can view stored stories regardless of the free reading period. Records are stored until the latest of six months after the last answer, the Annual Pass end date, or five years after a Keepsake purchase. Opening the app does not extend storage. Records are deleted six months after storage expires. We notify you 30 and 7 days before expiry, on the expiry date, and 30 days before deletion.
What does the Annual Pass do?
During the pass, you can read and listen to all records in the app and invite family to share. One pass covers the family even with both parents registered. Downloads are not included. If you also own the Keepsake Edition, storage lasts until the later of the pass end date and the Keepsake storage end date; the two periods are not added together.
What do I get with the Keepsake Edition?
You download the finished book with the original recordings, text, and photos. Downloaded files remain readable independently of our server storage period. On our servers, records are stored until the latest of five years after a Keepsake purchase, six months after the last answer, or the Annual Pass end date. Each new answer does not restart five years of storage. Records are deleted six months after storage expires, with advance notices before expiry and deletion.
Can I do this for both my father and my mother?
You can invite each of them and make two books. The second parent's Keepsake Edition can be added to the first for ₩40,000. App access (the Annual Pass) is one per family and covers both parents.
How do refunds work?
Before your parent's first answer arrives, pre-purchases are fully refundable within 90 days, and regular purchases within 30 days. The Annual Pass is fully refunded within 7 days of payment if unused; after that, the remaining period is refunded on a prorated basis. In cases such as a parent's passing, we export the original voice recordings free of charge, with no time limit, after a request and verification.
Are the recordings safe?
Voice recordings are encrypted and kept in private storage, with access limited to your family. Transcriptions preserve the way your parents speak, dialect included, and we keep both the original transcript and the polished text.
